I live my life for journeys BIG and small, alone or with friends & family along for the ride. To me a journey does not need to be grandiose or expensive. My favorites tend to be close to home and spur of the moment. Like this one. My kids and I decided to take a weekend camping trip to a beach an hour and a half from our home in Southern California a few weekends ago (October 2013). The best part was that it was spur of the moment–a client/special friend unable to use the spot she had booked due to family coming into town–and within days we packed up and hit the coast! Of course I found a tiny pocket of space to CRAM my photo stuffs into my VW wagon so as not to miss any photos ops during the weekend. And what better a photo op than a California coastal sunset complete with people (known and unknown) and/or objects in silhouette! I need to mention, only the close-ups of my daughter and the two girls jumping are of people that I know. All the other photos are of strangers that I was observing as the sun went down. Cheers!
