I was so thankful to be able to have this session with the K family when I did. I had recently broken my foot playing tennis, months later to find out when
it wasn’t healing that I had a bone tumor at the fracture site. I was a week from having my surgery at the renowned UCLA Orthopedics Hospital in Santa Monica.
Certain portions of my life were feeling pretty dark an uncertain due to not really being able to take clients, with no end in site to the dwindling savings through
it all. The patience that they had for my limited movement and ability to be free with the girls was such a gift that will forever be a memory of this time.
They have been the MOST appreciative and complimentary clients to date for sure. Thank you so much K Family! You really brought some sunshine
into a very hard season! Love you all!
I love shooting kids. Honestly, they are way more interesting than adults. SORRY all of you adults out there,
but generally they just are the most interesting creatures on earth! When I work with kids I try to be very approachable and kinda goofy.
Occasionally little ones are afraid or shy of my big black camera. When that happens, I bring them over to look at the back of
my camera to see the photo I have just taken of them. Almost 100% of the time they then soften and even get really dramatic and funny,
running back to check out the image. These darling ladies had NO fear of my camera.
Older sister was a bit shy to smile with her teeth, but she was loving the process of me shooting her.
